LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR A
MULTIRACIAL DEMOCRACY IN ARIZONA
Voting
One Arizona founded on the belief that lasting change begins with informed, empowered communities showing up to the ballot box. That believe still drives us today. Expanding the electorate is not a seasonal campaign, it's a continual investment in Arizona's future.
Registration
We approach voter registration with intentionality and scale, centering young people, BIPOC communities, and others long excluded from civic life.
GOTV (Get out the vote)
One Arizona plays a unique role in the state’s civic engagement ecosystem: we coordinate, convene, and build capacity across grassroots and national partners by hosting trainings, facilitating real-time learning, and ensuring our shared efforts stay aligned and effective.
Democracy
We focus on proactive strategies to safeguard democracy and protect Arizona elections. We coordinate two programs to protect our electoral system and ensure every eligible Arizonan voter can exercise their right to vote.
Election Protection
Within a coalition of 30 grassroots and national partners we work to prevent election sabotage, strengthen electoral systems, and support broader democratic infrastructure.
Democracy Defense
We coordinate 37+ partners to prepare for issues that emerge during election time. We are committed to fostering a more inclusive and equitable democracy by equipping our coalition partners with financial resources, training, digital tools, and networking opportunities.
Fair Representation
Census participation is about more than counting people. It’s about ensuring every community is seen, resourced, and accurately represented. That's why we play a key role in coordinating partners around census work.
Census
Historically, Latine, Indigenous, immigrant, and other marginalized communities in Arizona have been undercounted, resulting in underinvestment and inequitable political representation for decades. That's why we are strategizing five years before to work toward achieving equity in the 2030 Census.
Redistricting
The census shapes how communities are represented and how political districts are drawn, making it essential for ensuring fair representation, equitable resources, and a voice in democracy for every community.
Movement Building
At One Arizona, we believe long-term power starts with long-term investment: in people, organizations, and the systems that support them. Our role is to strengthen partners across the state so they can reach, organize, and support historically excluded communities with intention and care.
Youth Engagement
Our Youth Power Coalition cultivates new leadership across Arizona through training, power mapping, and long-term organizing support, building a pipeline that centers joy, creativity, and justice.
Research Initiatives
In partnership with the Analyst Institute, One Arizona is conducting a comprehensive landscape analysis to better understand where Arizona’s progressive infrastructure is strong, and where we need to grow.
